ABOUT YOUR ARTIST: I bring a lifetime of 'Car Craziness' (slot cars / model building / Hot Wheels - then, onto the 'real thing':
attended racing school / now in my 28th year as an MGB owner) to the design process. With 21+ years of experience in sign
design/production, I bring the ' Best of Both Worlds ' to helmet graphics.
MATERIALS & PRODUCTION: Prep starts with the removal of all hardware & rubber trim. The factory finish is then scuffed
&
sanded; any blemishes or imperfections are filled / primer sprayed as required. PAINTS: I use DuPont automotive along
with House of Kolor. STRIPES, DETAILS: Applied as adhesive vinyls ( made by 3m, Avery ). FINISH: Multiple coats (typically
4) of DuPont ChromaClear, buffed & polished.
'TRICK STUFF': Any photo / art / logo can be digitally reproduced: your source (file) image is brought into Photoshop, then
digitally printed onto a layer of vinyl & applied to the helmet surface.
